#1 Speak Yourself

                 I am Jia Jun

HI! I am Lee Jia Jun, for your information, you may call me Jia Jun or Jun. I'm from Kangar Perlis, the smallest city in Malaysia, also on the border of Malaysia. Kangar Perlis is a beautiful place, it comes with hills, a lake, and also a river. My friend from another place also called my hometown a kampung because it is really small compared to other cities. I don't deny it but they do call it Xanadu when they have been through here.. There are a few pictures at the right.

Mostly, when it comes to the session of telling your story, people don't have much to tell. However, there is a lot for me as my life is really dramatic. So, let me share my school which is an important part of my life. In my secondary school life, I was motivated by my bad UPSR result and I worked hard since I stepped into my secondary school which is called HARVEST ACADEMY. It is a private school that is provided with IGCSE lessons. The unique point for this school was that they try their hardest to let you feel like you were studying in university. So, especially between year 10 and year 11, rather than the teacher coming to our class to teach, we will go to the class that teacher decides to use to teach. Furthermore, they provided a chance to feel freedom as we can suggest for an activity that we like. Others, they would like to select a few students that they think are talented and would try to build them into a talented leader, follower, and everything so on. It looks good right? For the idea and the system, I wouldn't deny that it is really good.

However, I don't enjoy it due to anything. So, let me tell you. Before my year 9 school life, everything was fine or even I would say it was perfect. It is because the admin and teachers taught me a lot, including how to organize an activity in class, and provided me with a chance to apply it. For example, they asked to be an organizer of an event or a celebration in school. I feel really happy throughout those two years. However, everything changed during my Year 9 school life. During that year, I received an interview and became an organizer of a council called HALC (Harvest Academy Leadership Council). For more information about this council, you may search on Facebook.

After this Council is organized, students have more power compared to before. For example, when the teacher gives too much extra homework or classes, the student can come to us so we would have discussed it with the teacher. Others, we can say no to some extra classes due to the event for HALC. Day by day, some teachers did not feel right about this and treated us differently, I mean in a bad way. So, our member gets treated badly by some teachers and also a student. For example, we get scolded for no reason sometimes, get falsely accused by others, and so on. We have also been asked to organize a lot of events that should be done by some teachers. (Please allow me to bring this over quickly as I don't want to review back to this memory) Due to this reason, some of us even get insomnia for a period. However, we have been through hard times and make those people who did bad stuff shut their mouths by finishing all our work perfectly.

During my life, I always believed that Never giving up will bring me sunshine. So, no matter how hard I get during that period, how many unfair treatments, and how many rude comments given to us, I have never given up. It might sound easy but trust me it is not easy to do it when you are facing every bad and rude thing. However, I love and appreciate my secondary life although I never feel that period is full of love. It is because it makes me grow into a man rather than alive like a baby. The most important point is that I get to know a lot of good teachers and meet a lot of friends.
